I don't know how the doctor treats me, but I took the liberty of calling my daughter's doctor (an adult daughter) about registering her, and she received a reprimand and a lecture about cutting the umbilical cord. I was amused, but I canceled the appointment because the doctor was so slow during the registration process, it's scary to think what would happen next. I'd like to point out that the situation was such that my daughter asked me for a favor (and besides, you don't have to explain who's registering whom and why—especially not to a doctor). It was also incredibly tactless to make such comments and lectures about cutting the umbilical cord (especially since my daughter hasn't lived with me for four years and it was supposed to be a simple registration favor). The gynecologist, M.D., should perhaps retrain as a psychologist or family psychiatrist.
