For over a decade, I'd been having annual ultrasounds with this doctor—thyroid, abdominal, and breast—checkups. I'd always treated these visits as routine checkups. Unfortunately, a recent study showed that for some, routine is becoming a work ethic. During the breast ultrasound, the doctor found a lesion and, instead of honestly explaining the possible scenarios, immediately issued a dramatic verdict: "Urgent referral to an oncologist, core needle biopsy." There was no time for questions or words of reassurance—it was as if the patient was just another number to be checked off. I left in a state of extreme stress. If I had been mentally weaker, this way of conveying information could have ended tragically. A doctor's words can heal, but they can also hurt—in this case, there wasn't even a bandage. I followed my intuition and drove 50 km to another specialist. There, I saw that there was a different approach: a thorough examination, a manual check of the lesion, an explanation of what she saw, and reassurance that it looked more like a structural feature of the gland, not a pathology. Is it possible? Is it possible. I understand oncological vigilance, but there's a difference between vigilance and panic-mongering. This office lacked empathy, attentiveness, and conversation. A patient isn't just a case to be described in a chart. They're also a person who, after leaving the office, should still be alive, not counting down the days. I will never, ever go back to that office. The doctor's hasty, inaccurate diagnosis ruined my life, both mentally and physically. I don't know when I'll recover and regain my peace. Please steer clear of this office. Doctor, I will never forget you. Best regards.

It's difficult to reach the registration desk (during the hours listed on the website). All you hear is: "The box you're trying to leave a message in is full. You'll be disconnected shortly..." Is this how a reputable doctor's office is supposed to operate? Don't patients deserve a modicum of respect, even over the phone? Or is this just mockery? Outdated information should be corrected. And if it's current, a medical secretary should be hired or a meaningful message should be recorded, for example, informing the doctor that the caller is absent, or alternative ways to register. We lived abroad for many years. Something like this is unthinkable there...

The radiologist may be good, but who comes to see the doctor healthy? Climbing to the second floor for someone with a leg injury or in a wheelchair is a challenge because there's no elevator. The doctor should consider an office on the ground floor or in a building with an elevator.
