The examination was quick and practically painless, but the diagnosis required the removal of part of the cervix. When I asked if it was a major procedure, I was told that only 2.5 cm of the organ was removed. There was no information about complications or that treatment options were available before removing the organ with the initial changes. At each appointment, the doctor was unresponsive, and I had to ask for every piece of information and first scour the internet for information. After several months of depression, I changed doctors, who initially introduced different options and observations, clearly communicating that such changes were not removed because, in most cases, they reversed once the list of things I was given was implemented.
