  In January, I had laparoscopic surgery in the gynecology ward. The care from the midwives and doctors was top-notch. Pain medication was readily available, and assistance with any postoperative issues was readily available. The midwives are incredibly friendly and helpful. The only noticeable drawback was the small number of women for the number of patients, but that's likely not the fault of the midwives, but rather the healthcare system. I highly recommend this ward.

  A week ago, I had the pleasure of being admitted to the ER in Łuków with my disabled brother. I'm full of admiration for the doctors and nurses' approach to a disabled person, which is at odds with my sister, who was admitted there with her brother about two months ago. What happened then warrants a report to the Medical Chamber (the rudeness, lack of empathy, and downright aggressiveness of the people on duty). This time, we encountered incredibly professional staff!

  I'm writing this review a few months after this experience, but I didn't feel like devoting the energy to it before. It's outrageous to take the emergency call remote away from elderly and dependent people. Nurses deliberately hid the remotes high on a shelf in rooms where NON-AMBIENT patients were staying so they wouldn't have to call them too often. If this is how hospital care works, it's best to disconnect the IV immediately. Speaking of IVs... Grandma had an empty IV for at least half an hour because no one came to take care of it despite being reminded. Another scandalous situation that shouldn't have happened, because Grandma had a venous blockage and they still left her with an empty IV... If this is how patient care was handled during visits, I don't know what happens the rest of the time, but it's probably not better. A note to the women who hide emergency call remotes from patients - if you've forgotten empathy, please change jobs, because clearly this isn't for you. I don't know if this opinion will miraculously reach someone higher up, and I'm probably deluding myself, but I hope the hospital management didn't know what these ladies were doing and will finally do something about it.

  A disaster. I went with my two-year-old daughter for an abdominal ultrasound on November 21st. The cloakroom attendant is gone, but there are coin-operated lockers and free hangers on the wall. If you don't have coins, you don't leave clothes in the locker. Previously, there was a "cloakroom attendant" who was always supposed to hand out clothes, and the clothes were kept under surveillance. This time, I left mine and my daughter's jacket on a special rack on the wall. After the examination and taking care of the hospital errands (which took 1-1.5 hours), I returned to the cloakroom and my little daughter's jacket was gone. My eyes were glued to the spot. I asked the staff where I could report this, and they replied that everyone left their outerwear at their own risk. You can't bring jackets into the examination room, after all. So where should I leave them? If this hospital is so modern, why didn't they install lockers that accept card payments or at least a change machine? In short, I dressed a crying child in my jacket (and the child was crying because I wanted my jacket, hat, and scarf). I had to walk a long way without a coat in a thin sweater, which now resulted in a cold. And I wish the scoundrel who stole the jacket that the hands that did it would be dislocated. And God forbid. sees everything.
