This hospital doesn't even deserve one star. I came to the emergency room today and kissed the doorknob. I was admitted, diagnosed with an abscess and a fever of 40 degrees Celsius, and they referred me to the hospital in Wolgast, where I currently live, explaining that there are no beds in the surgical ward, which is utter nonsense. It's also clearly stated online that an abscess with fever is an emergency requiring immediate medical consultation, yet here I was denied one in a nonsensical manner. If something happens during the few hours I'm on the 4:16 AM train to Wolgast to the hospital, even if nothing happens, I'll probably sue the hospital for lack of adequate emergency medical care. "For failing to provide emergency care, the hospital is subject to contractual penalties from the National Health Fund (NFZ) and termination of the service contract. It also faces civil liability for any damages and criminal liability for specific individuals (doctors, staff) under Article 162 § 1 of the Penal Code (up to 3 years in prison), if the failure was culpable and there were no reasonable obstacles. The hospital must arrange transport to another facility if it cannot accept a patient in an emergency, and refusal to do so will have serious consequences." This is what it says online. Therefore, I wholeheartedly advise against visiting this hospital for your own safety. They won't admit you anyway, claiming there are no beds. It's simply a circus, not a hospital.

Contacting the registration desk and the Outpatient Dialysis Center at Jan Garduła Hospital in Świnoujście is, unfortunately, a complete disaster. The phone number officially listed for registrations for in-patient dialysis appears to be completely unavailable. Registration is supposed to be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but getting through during that time is next to impossible. Initially, I waited for 30 minutes as the "first in line," after which the call was disconnected. Each subsequent attempt ends with an automatic disconnection after exactly 26 seconds – no one answers the phone. Furthermore, the music played while waiting is extremely irritating and seems designed to discourage callers and force them to hang up. It's hard to interpret it any other way. The whole thing demonstrates a lack of organization and respect for patients, especially those trying to manage important health issues.
