  I needed emergency care at 2AM and was also visiting from the US and needed English translation services. I chose this private medical service center (Poland has both public and private health services). I was seen immediately and the administrator was so very kind, and spoke great English, after my appointment, she called the 24 hour Aptec (pharmacy) and then the cab company providing instructions to the driver to take us to the Aptec, then to our hotel. I saw the family care doctor (be advised they did not have specialty care for injuries at the late hour, so will have to seek other public ER options after hours), was given a prescription for the medications I needed, all at incredibly fair prices compared to US healthcare. Really appreciated their care and kindness that got me well enough to travel to our next city!

  I have been coming to this hospital since my first pregnancy, when they still offered home birth care, which we truly loved. Even after the changes, I continue to visit during my second pregnancy for USG appointments. The doctors and staff are always professional and kind. Although it’s a pity that the home birth center is no longer available, we are still fortunate to work with the wonderful midwife team who once supported us there. The setup is also very pleasant—when you walk in, it feels more like a welcoming hotel reception than a hospital. It really helps ease the stress and anxiety that people often feel when visiting hospitals.

  Luxmed Szpital ER – Gdańsk: Fast Doctor, But Care Falls Short I visited Luxmed Szpital’s ER today 14/08/25 based on their strong reviews and private hospital status, expecting a high level of care. Positives: • Registration was quick and pleasant. • I was taken in by a nurse within minutes of checking in. • Saw a doctor in under 30 minutes. • The doctor was kind, compassionate, and attentive. Negatives: • Despite being a “hospital ER,” they did not have on-site ultrasound capability. • Lab work is sent to an outside facility; my samples weren’t picked up for over an hour, adding significant wait time for results. Because of the delay in pick up some blood test could not run and I had to get stuck again for blood. • I was there for several hours without having eaten in over 12 hours. When I inquired about food, I was told there was no cafeteria and no alternatives were suggested—an unexpected and uncomfortable oversight for a hospital ER. Overall: While the doctor provided good medical care and the registration process was efficient, the lack of basic diagnostic equipment, no food access for patients during extended stays, outsourced lab delays were disappointing for a private hospital ER.

  I am extremely disappointed with their services. I spent €80 (€70 for the consultation and €10 for a completely pointless virus test) – money and time utterly wasted. I went to see a GP after being ill for about a month with a persistent 37.5°C fever that had lasted for a week, along with a worsening chest cough. For days, nothing – not paracetamol or over-the-counter cough syrup – had helped. The thermometer they used showed 36.5°C (the kind they point at you for a couple of seconds), while my own thermometer at home kept reading 37.5°C. They pretended to examine me, wrote something for about 15 minutes in silence, and then finally told me I had acute bronchitis, prescribing... paracetamol! Despite me telling them I’d already been taking it for about a month, and mentioning my symptoms of dizziness, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. If I didn’t feel better in a few days, they said I’d need an X-ray. However, they wouldn’t provide the referral right away – I’d have to pay another €70 for another visit to get it. Honestly, I understand the goal is to make money, but this is ridiculous. I deeply regret my visit and would absolutely not recommend this place if you're looking for any real help or results. It's by far the worst experience I've had, both in private and public healthcare across multiple countries
