  In short: amazing, it's worth traveling from another city to give birth. Reason: Giving birth here was a hit. It's a completely different facility than Jelenia Góra, which we have a comparison to. We traveled from JG to Wałbrzych specifically because we'd heard good reviews and attended an open day. We deliberately waited until after contractions so we wouldn't be too early, so we arrived just in time for my wife to be examined and admitted for labor. We arrived around 3:30 PM and by 4:30 PM we were in the delivery room. Our daughter was born at 6:22 PM. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff explained what, how, and why (at JG, we heard things like, "What, you've never given birth, so you don't know?" Well, imagine, you idiots, not...). There's a lot of interest, help, care, explanations of what and why, patience, and understanding. The rooms are intimate (like the hospital itself) and friendly. All the equipment is housed in one delivery room, so after delivery, the baby is always within sight. The doctor (I don't know his name, but he was young and on duty on July 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM) is phenomenal. He was very kind and supportive. He offered many warm words of encouragement to my wife during labor, but also instructed her precisely what to do and why, and even held her breath and breathed with her when she was having labor, which gave her a lot of support. The midwife delivering the baby was great; she was clearly very experienced. The staff was young and friendly. The opportunity to stay with my wife and newborn in a separate room was a huge plus. The room was clean and tidy (the cleaning ladies kept up with it), there was a toilet and shower, and even (which is unusual for a Polish hospital) plenty of paper towels, white toilet paper, and soap. Compared to the communist and communist approach in Jelenia Góra, it's like moving from under a bridge to a good hotel. My wife was traumatized after her first delivery, where her first daughter weighed around 3,300 kilograms, while this one, 3,950, went much faster, better, and with less trauma. This will allow me to negotiate with my wife about another child in the future. If we were to give birth in Jelenia Góra again, the matter would be closed from the start, and even this second star wouldn't be there. Thanks to the entire team!

  I went in for a swab test. According to the information, the test didn't require registration; I had to show up at 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. I took off work, went, and was told I should have made an appointment after all, and the waiting time was over a month.

  I'm giving it only three stars. I gave birth to my son there on August 5, 2025. Starting with the pregnancy pathology ward, the midwives were nice, only two out of four out of five I met. The rest were either kidding or working as a punishment. The attendants and the food delivery ladies were wonderful 😍🥰. As for the doctors, everyone was fine except for one respectable gentleman who, when he was commenting to a woman suffering from severe bulimia, clearly showed that she liked to eat... Sorry, just like the first time, the second time was wonderful, fast, efficient, and to the point. The delivery room was all nice and wonderful, but I can only owe the fact that my son and I are alive to Dr. Joanna Lipień-Kostacińska (who also managed my pregnancy), and she was the only one who made the right decision to have a quick cesarean section. The anesthesiologist performed the C-section with incredible precision and the hands of an angel. I didn't even feel the anesthetic (it was my third C-section), and I remember the first two anesthetics as tragic, so it was a really nice change. The subsequent stages after the C-section, well, damn, we need to change them. Okay, our situation was such that our son had to be in the incubator for several hours, without question, but many mothers could have had their babies immediately after leaving the room, or maybe an hour later... but who would be monitoring what was happening? No one wants to. Eighteen hours after my C-section, my wound was washed with medical gasoline... which then caused me to experience such excruciating pain that I couldn't breathe, and they had to administer another dose of morphine. I didn't know why at the time, but after leaving the hospital, I quickly learned the truth when I saw my burned lower abdomen, which had barely a 2-centimeter gap without a pus bubble. Of course, not to mention the zero reaction to me dragging myself to the bathroom by the tube less than six hours after my C-section, where I later fainted from the pain. And of course, the staff showed zero interest. In summary, out of 10 or more midwives in the postpartum ward, only three were truly okay! As for the pediatricians, they were okay, except for one esteemed doctor who was very displeased with a text message to a colleague in the ward. When it comes to gynecologists, all of them are great, but Dr. Krzysztof Zaranek deserves special mention. He's a very kind, professional, and competent doctor. He also knows how to lift your spirits and maintain a polite, appropriate joke. Overall, he's okay, but if you have the option of another hospital, I highly recommend him.
