  This is my first experience with a public hospital in Poland, so I can't really compare it to others. I've had private healthcare in Belgium and the US so far, but that's a bit like comparing Baikonur to Cape Canveral. Anyway, the most important thing is to get back into orbit :) The procedure was very enjoyable. The operating room was a bit cold, but since I was a guest, there's nothing to complain about. They had a lot of equipment that looked new and professional, and of course, it went ping... ping... so I felt safe. It was my first time having spinal anesthesia – I recommend it to everyone! I don't know who operated on me, but it went well. A big plus for the sentimental journey in terms of food, but one small minus – I was hoping for a small amount of morphine, but I heard that after such a procedure, it just hurts so much, and hey; it didn't work this time, and the effects of this substance remain a mystery to me. Warm regards to the staff!

  The hospital in Maków Mazowiecki is one of the best hospitals in Poland (7th place) and the best in the Masovian region (1st place). This hospital is a state-of-the-art, modernized, and friendly medical facility. The Maków hospital ranked seventh in the national ranking and has been among the top 10 best hospitals in Poland for several years now. I consider the Department of Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery to be one of the best in the country. Maków Hospital has been providing services since 1946 and has been undergoing extensive modernization over the years. Among other things, all the beds and patient cabinets in the hospital have been replaced with new, modern equipment, including a CT scanner, X-ray machine, echocardiograph, patient monitoring system, laparoscope, hysteroscope, and endoscopic column. The hospital also has completely new equipment for the dialysis center, including a water treatment plant. It also has a new and modernized operating theater, where approximately 2,500 procedures are performed annually. The Emergency Department has also been partially expanded and modernized. Furthermore, the Emergency Department is completely different from other medical facilities in Poland. The friendly and smiling staff never causes problems, but simply wants to help everyone, and does it from the heart. Special thanks to Dr. Tomasz Petelewicz, an orthopedic surgeon – a doctor of the kind rarely encountered these days. He possesses extensive academic knowledge, professionalism, commitment, and empathy. The knee arthroscopy (meniscus repair) was performed very professionally. Everything was thorough and without unnecessary rushing. I highly recommend him. Such a professional doctor is hard to find these days. And thanks also to the entire team from the Orthopedic Trauma Department – ​​you are truly exceptional people. The hospital in Maków Mazowiecki provides medical support for the entire Masovian Voivodeship.

  I highly recommend the orthopedic department in Maków. I had a complex procedure here – a meniscus reattachment, an ACL repair, and a lateral tenodesis. Everything went well, and the nursing care on the ward was excellent. I thank the surgeon, Maciej Płachta, for his focused approach and successful surgery, despite a difficult case.

  I've been in the surgery ward in Maków Mazowiecki for a month now. I was transferred from Pultusk with fractures to my entire right side, where the emergency room doctor misdiagnosed me. The head of surgery in Maków is not only a great specialist but a wonderful person. He treats patients with care, and his staff is like a family that runs like clockwork. Our ward nurse is likewise. Nothing but superlatives. I wish you the best of luck and good health, Dr. Henryk Kwiatkowski. A grateful patient.
