  I was admitted to the maternity ward in my 7th month of pregnancy due to blood in my urine following a back injury (kicked by my baby). I was admitted around 10:00 AM. After the ultrasound, I was informed that I had to fast for a kidney test. I hadn't eaten or drank anything since 7:00 PM the previous day. Throughout the day, I repeatedly asked the staff when the test would be performed. I always received the same answers: "We're waiting for the doctor's call," "We'll call you when we have room," and "We'll remember you." I was also told several times that the doctor was on his way or would be there "soon," but in reality, it took several hours, and the test wasn't performed until after 7:00 PM. In the meantime, around 5:00 PM and again after 7:00 PM, I reported feeling very unwell, extremely weak, and dehydrated. I wasn't even allowed to drink water – only a saline drip was administered, with the explanation that "this will have to suffice." The examination was performed only after many hours of waiting without eating or drinking, which, in my advanced pregnancy, I consider extremely irresponsible and dangerous. The catheter insertion was very painful and unprofessional – the nurse had difficulty inserting it, and my complaints of pain were met with the comment that "she's still young." The next day, the urologist was surprised that the catheter was still in place and stated that I didn't have a kidney stone and that the hematuria was the result of trauma. The behavior of some of the staff was devoid of empathy – patients were often told "if they don't like it, they can leave." Upon discharge, the doctor on duty handed me the documents without discussion and simply said "I don't want to cooperate." The entire stay was incredibly stressful and insecure. As a pregnant woman, I absolutely should not have been treated this way. I do not recommend it.

  I've been adding this a few times now, and the review keeps getting deleted, I don't know why. I arrived at the gynecology ward in tears. In the ninth week of my pregnancy, I started bleeding and experiencing severe abdominal pain, and I was overcome with immense fear and uncertainty. The empathy, support, and commitment I received from the midwife exceeded all my expectations. From the very first moment, I felt cared for and treated with immense understanding. I was taken for my tests by Dr. Tomasz Neumann—an incredibly gentle, calm, and empathetic doctor. He thoroughly explained everything, showed me around, and answered questions, which helped me regain some of my composure in this difficult situation. The next day, the midwives changed, and that was another very pleasant surprise. These women were truly dedicated—smiling, caring, patient, and explained everything thoroughly. Simply wonderful people. Before leaving, Dr. Tomasz examined me again, which only reinforced my belief that I was in the best possible hands. I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative reviews circulating about this ward and strongly encourage you to avoid reading them. Throughout my entire stay, I was treated as if I were in a good private clinic. I should also add that I have a hospital in my town, and comparing the two places—this ward and, for example, the ward in Brodnica—it's a world away. I sincerely hope that everything will be alright and that in September I will have the honor of giving birth in this wonderful ward. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff ❤️

  My grandfather presented to the Emergency Department at the hospital in Iława three times, presenting with clear neurological symptoms, including: - delirium, - confusion, - altered consciousness, - disturbing symptoms suggesting acute central nervous system damage. Despite repeated visits to the Emergency Department and the patient's worsening condition, no diagnostic imaging was performed, particularly a computed tomography (CT) scan of the head, which, according to current medical knowledge, is the basic test for stroke. Instead, the patient was sent home each time, without a proper neurological evaluation or the implementation of tests that could have saved his life. Ultimately, my grandfather suffered a massive stroke, which was diagnosed only after a critical period. I would also like to emphasize that after my grandfather's admission, his condition was ignored. My grandfather cried for help, complained of feeling unwell, and reported symptoms of his deteriorating condition. Witnesses indicate that: - the staff ignored his requests, - no one responded to his cries for help, - no one took appropriate action or checked his condition, - the patient was left alone, despite requiring urgent intervention.... My grandfather is currently suffering from severe, permanent health impairment. He is bedridden, partially paralyzed, and exhibits significant cognitive impairment, meaning that independent functioning has become virtually impossible. If appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic measures had been undertaken immediately—both during his three visits to the emergency department and during his hospitalization—the patient's current, serious condition could have been significantly alleviated or avoided altogether. The delay in performing basic tests, the lack of supervision, and the disregard of neurological symptoms led to a situation in which the chances of effective treatment for his acute stroke were significantly and irreversibly diminished. My grandfather's current health condition is a direct consequence of the negligence that occurred at the hospital.

  This was my second time traveling 50 km to the hospital by choice to give birth to my baby. The first time was during the pandemic, and I wasn't disappointed by the support of all the staff. But this time, the maternity ward has completely blossomed; I felt like I was in a private facility. The care was impeccable, especially the young midwives, who were very dedicated. They even created a relaxing atmosphere in the room during the CTG tests. The labor was the same: music, an aroma diffuser, and lights. The midwives constantly monitored everything, checking if I was hungry, thirsty, and everything was okay. The doctors were also very friendly. Each time, the conversation with them was very pleasant; I felt cared for. I spent a few days there because my labor had to be induced, and I must say, it's a wonderful time in the hospital. Oh, and the neonatal specialists are also available 24/7!
