The stroke/neurology ward should have some kind of medical record check regarding medication administration. Our grandmother arrived with high blood pressure – conscious and functioning. After a few days of tests, the EEG revealed epilepsy. They started administering anti-epileptic drugs plus psychiatric medications because she was agitated and delirious. From that moment on, her condition began to deteriorate – drugged by the medication, she is either unable to speak or eat, or agitated and delirious. A few days later, during a visit, we felt her temperature – after reporting it, we were ignored, but after a second request, someone took it and it turned out she did have a fever. After the test, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and placed on oxygen. If it weren't for our reaction to the fact that her condition was dire, I don't know how long she would have waited for someone to notice. We suspect an overdose of medication and that she is being drugged, which is why our grandmother's condition has deteriorated – turning a conscious, well-functioning woman into a wreck! We definitely won't leave it like this!

I wish to express a strong complaint regarding the treatment of patients – particularly foreign patients – at your facility. I am taking all legal and legislative steps required by Polish and international law. My experience indicates serious deficiencies in both sanitary standards and the manner of communication and treatment of patients. My friend was placed in a hospital bed with visibly worn, torn, and soiled bedding, which in itself constitutes a violation of basic hygiene and medical safety principles. When he questioned this, he was rudely told that there were no other bedding available. I should add that the patient was diagnosed with sepsis. Furthermore, the condition of the room raised serious concerns: there were stains and water stains on the walls that could indicate traces of blood or other bodily fluids, as well as traces of moisture that could promote the growth of fungi or other biological threats. This situation is particularly disturbing in the context of a medical facility that is supposed to meet the highest sanitary and epidemiological standards. Moreover, the treatment of my patient gave the impression of discriminatory treatment against foreigners. During my stay, I encountered unjustified forms of pressure, intimidation, and baseless accusations. This type of behavior by staff is unacceptable and violates professional ethics and patient rights. I emphasize that every patient – regardless of nationality or origin – has the right to decent treatment, safe hospitalization conditions, and reliable medical care. Much more serious offenses and reasonable suspicion of a crime are under investigation. During the intervention, the staff rudely threw a phone and insulted me.

Dear Sirs, I would like to express my immense gratitude to the entire team of the Stroke Department at Nowy Szpital. I came to you at one of the most difficult times in my life – with a cerebral hemorrhage, a life-threatening condition. Thanks to your knowledge, care, and commitment – I am here today, regaining my strength, and can continue living with hope and gratitude. I thank the doctors for their professionalism, sound decisions, and the peace that gave me a sense of security. I thank the nurses and caregivers for their warmth, care, patience, and every moment in which I felt cared for and not alone. I thank the entire staff – from the orderlies to the rehabilitation specialists – for everything you do with all your heart, every day. For me, you were not just a medical team – you were my hope, strength, and support when I was still unable to care for myself. Please accept my sincerest thanks. I will always remember what you did for me. With respect and gratitude, Tomasz Wittbrodt
