This review concerns treatment at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System in Nakło nad Notecią in October 2025. I underwent surgery to repair my medial meniscus. Regarding the facilities, I believe the department is well-prepared. It's clean, and attention to detail is evident at every step. The meals are surprisingly good. The biggest positive surprise is the standard of care and the hospital staff's concern for the well-being of patients. From registration, through initial tests, the procedure itself (which took place in a very pleasant atmosphere; this is truly important for those experiencing surgery for the first time), to post-operative care and the discharge process. All of this puts this department in a very good light. I would like to thank Dr. Krzysztof Olszewski, the surgical team (unfortunately, I cannot mention their names), and, of course, the entire nursing team (a very pleasant welcome, the staff are always available and very friendly). It's hard to say I want to go back, but if I have to, it's definitely a very good choice :D People tend to think that a small hospital in a small town has nothing to offer, but personal experience shows otherwise. Parking is even free there. Not so obvious.

On January 3, 2026, at 1 a.m., the ambulance took my mother to the hospital. The emergency room attendant questioned the ambulance doctor's competence, claiming it was an unnecessary transport and a waste of time in the emergency room. She was more concerned about telling her friend about her 14-year-old dog, who had to wear diapers. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the hospital in Nakło nad Notecią.

People are making a fuss and expecting something out of an old hospital that doesn't even have an emergency department. Considering what we get here, we should be satisfied. New ambulances, short EMS response times. If someone has an emergency, they go to the nearest emergency department in Bydgoszcz. The surgery is top-notch, and the nurses take excellent care of patients. There's nothing more to expect here – this isn't a large hospital, it's not in a big city. Accept the fact that not every doctor will rush to your broken toe – they also have their own patients, paperwork to fill out, and other, more pressing matters.

I stayed at the hospital in the orthopedics department and was delighted. I rate the hospital in Leśna Góra lower. Dr. Wierciński is a miracle worker who treats patients almost like family. Knowledge, empathy, and a sense of humor are just some of his strengths. The nurses (Dr. Wierciński warned against using the word "sisters") are very friendly. They care for patients and help in every situation. Dorota brings delicious meals, chats, and lifts your spirits. I recommend this place to anyone needing hospital treatment. Barbara Ososińska

A small, intimate hospital under the Nowy Szpital brand, where I stayed in the orthopedics department. The medical care, and more, is of a very high standard. Double patient rooms with bathrooms, good food, and short waiting times for procedures are definite advantages of this place.
