  Avoid the woman with glasses at the front desk, although it's hard to do since she's there. She's rude, rude, and has no manners. I don't know if the person is trained to administer injections, but a veterinarian would probably do it more professionally. It's embarrassing.

  I'd like to share my opinion about my stay at the District Hospital in Złotów. I was referred for iron supplementation due to low ferritin. The admission itself took place a few days after the appointment, which I consider a positive. Unfortunately, the initial impression was rather cold – the woman admitting the patient seemed very exhausted and it was clearly noticeable. The nurses definitely deserve praise – most of them are truly wonderful people, empathetic, helpful, and never put on a sour face. The cleaning ladies also do their job very conscientiously. However, the biggest problem arose on the day of discharge. Despite my registered vegetarian and easily digestible diet (due to ulcerative colitis), there was no suitable meal for me. The woman serving the food couldn't explain what scrambled eggs consisted of, so I skipped the meal. In response, I heard comments like "I don't want to eat anything." A moment later, I received a call to personally tell me what I could eat, which was quite absurd, considering the diet had been clearly communicated and recorded in advance. Ultimately, I informed the dietitian that I could eat things like jam or cheese, but not meat, and that I was leaving anyway, so there was no need to prepare anything special. However, the situation demonstrates that the hospital's dietary management system needs significant improvement. Another disturbing situation occurred during a blood draw. The same woman who served the food (most likely a nurse) drew my blood without gloves. I pointed this out, and was told that the gloves were only "protection for her," and since my hands were disinfected, they weren't necessary. Furthermore, I was accused of "nagging." This was very uncomfortable for me—it was the first time I'd encountered such a situation in a medical facility. Regarding sanitary conditions, the bedding and cabinets were clean, but the bathroom left much to be desired. The toilet seat, shower, and general condition of the bathroom are reminiscent of the communist era. This isn't a matter of lack of cleaning, but rather of wear and tear and neglect. It's difficult to understand that these days there are no resources or responsible people to replace basic elements, such as the silicone in the bathroom. Finally, it's worth mentioning the reception I received from the doctor (a blonde woman) who kept asking me how much iron the hematologist ordered and what my last hemoglobin level was—even though I'd handed over a full file of documentation. The documents were on another floor, so they clearly didn't bother to access them, which was also unprofessional. In summary: the nursing and cleaning staff deserve great praise, but the organization, communication, adherence to procedures, and the technical condition of the ward require urgent improvements. It's a shame, because with better management, it would be a truly excellent place for treatment. The attending physician, O. Hal, said everything was fine and to the point.

  I don't recommend visiting the emergency room, especially at night. I went to the emergency room from Saturday to Sunday with severe pain in my arm, specifically nerves and veins, as well as numbness. During the consultation, I explained everything while holding my aching hand, saying there was no injury and I didn't know where the pain was coming from, and that it hurt in my wrist when I bent it. The doctor performed an examination of my arm, telling me to squeeze his hands and move my fingers. After a while, he sat down at the computer and started taking notes. Sitting across from me, I was squeezing my hand, which was throbbing and going numb every now and then. The doctor mockingly said, "But you shouldn't be squeezing that hand." I could see the doctor smirking. To which I replied, "I said my hand was throbbing, like the veins inside were clogged." The doctor rolled his eyes, sighed, and after a moment, gave me a referral to the vascular surgery department. After asking where such a ward was, the doctor said, "I don't know. You could try Piła, I'm not from here." It was 4 a.m. and the patient had to find the hospital they were referring to on their own. We went to Piła, and upon arrival, it turned out there hadn't been such a ward for several years. However, in the emergency room, they treated me professionally. There were no smiles, mocking glances, or punishing facial expressions. The doctor from the emergency room in Piła was shocked that Złotów had issued a referral without any tests. They added that this was apparently standard practice at the hospital in Złotów. After the tests I performed, the doctor figured out what was causing the pain. I wanted to change my mind about the hospital in Złotów after many such situations, because things had supposedly changed there, but they didn't. I understand that doctors are human beings, and they can have a tough shift or a bad day, but if they're not willing to put everything aside and dedicate themselves to the patient, it's probably not the right job for them. I'll add that I don't know why, but the emergency room was locked. If it weren't for my partner who noticed the doorbell, I suspect we would have continued on our way. I don't recommend visits, but I think there are doctors there who want to help, not make big bucks and lie around. Maybe you'll find one. In all my visits, I've only encountered one.

  When it comes to detox, I highly recommend the hospital. The food is great, and the psychologists are very kind and friendly. As for the service, the nurses are excellent; with the nurse, it depended on the day. There are rules on the ward that must be followed, but if you don't smoke, you probably won't have any problem complying. I happened to meet some very nice people, thanks to whom the 11 days flew by. 😁 p.s. I highly recommend Ms. Olga as a psychologist.
