I recommend her. She's a calm, thorough doctor who doesn't rush and devotes as much time to her patients as needed. She's willing to admit when she doesn't know something—which I really appreciate in a doctor—and refers me to other specialists. She's always kind, smiling, and above all, helpful. I recommend her. The cost for the visit, ultrasound, and cytology is 150 PLN (April 2021).

Ms. Czekańska-Karell didn't earn my trust, either as a doctor or as a person. I called the office to ask about a Pap smear. It turned out there was an opening, but the receptionist informed me that I should specify at the time of my appointment that I only wanted a Pap smear. Okay. I did. However, after the test, the doctor insisted that she had provided medical advice and that I should pay for that as well. Aside from the sheer fraud, I consider her a poor entrepreneur, as she doesn't care about her clients (I assure you, I won't be returning, also because of her off-putting tone) or the image of her company. She should apologize for giving me incorrect information at the registration desk and putting me in an awkward position. As for the medical advice... hmm... asking about my last period, what pills I'm taking, and whether I'm having sex would be considered a medical interview rather than any kind of advice. I didn't ask for it. I should have kept quiet, since you knew why I came. I waited over three weeks for the results themselves (the office was, strangely enough, closed on the scheduled pickup date). If you're reading this, I assure you I still have plenty of time to take care of my own affairs, and I wanted the results sooner because I'm naturally proactive and prefer to have everything taken care of in case of a situation like mine. Edit: 1. I was informed that I could only have the Pap smear; I just had to mention it to the office. 2. If this information was needed for the Pap smear, it was included in the scope of service. 3. It was supposed to be two weeks, with MAYBE a slight delay. That's what I received. I waited exactly 22 days. I didn't ask for an interpretation!! I just asked if that was really how it should be... the documentation didn't look serious, which is what I heard from another gynecologist I went to for an interpretation. 4. I didn't call that a scam, but I see that thinking can be difficult sometimes. I didn't let myself be tricked and only paid for the service provided according to the price list given to me.
