I received specific recommendations on what to do next and when to return for a checkup. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I consulted a urogynecological physiotherapist because I was experiencing perineal pain. The physiotherapist taught me exercises that really helped and explained what happens to the body during pregnancy. After giving birth, I returned with my baby for a pediatric checkup; I didn't have to find a separate pediatrician.
