  Despite our explicit request to schedule an appointment with Dr. Radosław Blok, we were not informed of the schedule change and were seen by Dr. Dominika Blok. The doctor conducted a very cursory and schematic interview – clearly uninterested in the patient. She stated that "the thyroid is simple," but unfortunately, despite this simplicity, she failed to identify the need for treatment for hypothyroidism during pregnancy with a TSH of 8.5. Without recommendations, she referred us to an endocrinologist, citing "because it could be cancer." She answered questions that clearly went beyond the norm in a cursory and evasive manner. When asked about diet and supplementation, she pushed a pregnancy product leaflet on the patient, ignoring the test results and the patient's clear preferences. She cut off our conversation about pregnancy symptoms – however mild they may have been. Finally, we were not issued an appointment card. As doctors, we were fortunate – we were able to quickly assess the quality of the service and initiate treatment while waiting for an appointment with another obstetrician. The thought of providing the same quality of service to a patient without medical knowledge is somewhat uncomfortable.

  I very rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case, I have no choice. The doctor is very nice and friendly, but: - he's also very money-oriented. During my first visit, after 20 minutes, I had a strange feeling that I was "intruding" on the office. When I wanted to confirm a few things about my pregnancy and asked a few questions, the doctor "rushed me along" and already billed me. I felt like every question I had was a huge problem, and Dr. Blok answered as quickly as possible because "other patients were waiting." During my second visit (during the pandemic), when I tried to reschedule my appointment, I was told that "I was taking up his time and either I went in for my appointment or I had to leave because other patients were waiting." I could have forgotten about the questions, "Are you feeling okay at all?" and "What happened that made you want to reschedule your appointment?". I didn't pay, so according to the doctor, I wasted his precious time. The doctor doesn't have an individual approach. I didn't want to see Dr. Blok for a complete pregnancy—I had my own phenomenal midwife who took care of me (a normal, completely problem-free pregnancy). I just wanted Dr. Blok to perform an ultrasound. When I mentioned that my pregnancy was being managed by a midwife, the doctor looked at me with contempt, tried to convince me that midwives weren't responsible for managing pregnancies, and even laughed (even though we've had that law in Poland since 2017). After leaving the office, I received a call from a rather sarcastic receptionist telling me that the doctor was refusing to see me for another ultrasound appointment because he didn't want to take responsibility for a pregnancy managed by a midwife. :) This made me laugh. I felt like Dr. Blok and his medical ego were hurt, that I trusted the midwife, with whom I was in constant communication, more than the midwife. contact than him. So if you ask questions and contact with a doctor is important to you, Dr. Blok is not the doctor for you. If you're a patient who trusts doctors 100% and has no questions or doubts, Dr. Blok is ideal.
